SparkPoint Updates #40: February 2023
A month filled with SparkSwap DeFi Developments! Let’s take a recap on how the month of February went.
As a team with a consistent building schedule, it’s amazing to see how quickly time flies. Before we know it, we’re already in the third month of 2023, and we’re excited to share a recap of everything that took place in just 28 days! And how SparkPoint continues to explore the ever-growing industry of Blockchain Technology.
February was a month filled with SparkSwap updates, including product improvements and endless planning for what’s to come. Furthermore, we’ve made significant updates to the SparkPoint Wallet, and we have a list of other updates, including ongoing developments in the SparkSwap DeFi Platform, that we’d like to share with you.

1. New SRK-ETH Liquidity Staking Pool to earn from!
A newly opened SRK-ETH liquidity staking pool will allow our holders to earn SRK rewards. This will only last for 100 days, so make sure you’re not missing out.

2. SparkPoint joined TECHINVESTMENT SHOW 2023 in Thailand
SparkPoint CMO Drei Bongalos teamed up with MetaSaga Warrior’s Representative John Anthony Balbin to explore the world of blockchain technology! They recently participated in TechInvestment Show 2023, a four-day event held in Bangkok, Thailand from February 16–19, 2023. The event featured 50+ visionary speakers, 500+ worldwide brands, 40+ communities, as well as workshops and showcases, drawing more than 3,000 attendees.
The event gathered all experts and investors, to connect and stay up to date on the latest developments, and for startups and companies to pitch their projects to venture capitalists.

3. SparkPoint Wallet Version 12 for faster and cheaper transactions!
We are constantly updating the SparkPoint Wallet to make transactions more efficient and secure. In February, we released version 12 of the SparkPoint Wallet, which includes EIP-1559 support and the ability to send using an ENS address. This results in faster and more cost-efficient transactions for our users.

On a side note, we would also like to inform everyone that there had been drastic changes in SparkPoint Wallet installed on iOS devices. You will notice that some of our built-in exchange apps have been removed and the NFT Lounge button has been moved out from the top of the main menu, this is due to Apple’s AppStore strict policies concerning cryptocurrency exchanges.
However, you can use some of the DApps like Changelly, ChangeNOW, Swapzone, and Quickswap on a browser via WalletConnect.
4. New Livestream Episode on YouTube featuring SparkSwap builders
We’re excited to announce the latest episode of our Live Series with the Sparky Community! In our 9th episode, we had the pleasure of hosting our Technical Director, Mat Ivan, and Senior Blockchain Developer, Aldrick. They provided valuable updates on SparkSwap, our decentralized finance platform, and shared some exciting plans for its future.

5. Updated Fees and Limits for SparkBridge
On February 2023, the dev team performed the regular maintenance update for SparkBridge to update the bridging fees and limits.
For your reference, here’s the list of the new fees and limits:
6. SFUEL as a bridge fee option
We’re excited to announce that SFUEL is now available as a bridge fee option on SparkBridge. This means that users can take advantage of lower transaction fees by using SFUEL instead of SRK as a fee. By choosing SFUEL, users can receive the full amount of the bridged token without any deduction.
Please note that if you’re a Sparky VIP and choose to use SFUEL as a fee, the regular exclusive discount for VIPs will be revoked. However, your VIP discount will still apply if you use SRK as a fee.
We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our platform and provide more options for our users. Try out the new SFUEL bridge fee option on SparkBridge and let us know what you think!
7. Multisender App Enhancements
Multisender App recently launched last January 27, 2023. And now, the SparkSwap team has made a few changes already with the app that includes:
- SFUEL token as the default fee for sending instead of BNB SFUEL (25,000 SFUEL) instead of BNB (0.25 BNB).
- A one-time prompt for first-time visitors.
Our team has been aggressively integrating the SFUEL token into SparkSwap’s various DApps. As you may know, SFUEL is the governance token of SparkSwap. As we continue to improve the platform, one of our goals is to add more utilities to the SFUEL token.
